The State Engineer has proposed Orders to designate 28 groundwater basins within the Central Hydrographic Region. The proposed Orders for five of the basins also include establishing preferred use, and curtailment of new appropriations. The State Engineer will be holding public hearings on the proposed Orders within the county where the basin lies or within the county, where the major portion of the basin lies October 12 – 15 and October 22, 23 and 26.
